It ain't much to look at from the outside, but don't let that stop you from coming in.   We were headed to the Sunrise to catch a show and decided to have Mexican food.  We first went to a place about one mile north which was a little too authentic for us.   My wife is a vegetarian they had absolutely nothing for her to order.   We got up walked out.  Thank God we did.   Otherwise, we never would have found this place.
We walked in the had music from a Mariachi band playing.   They play from 3 to 5 on Sundays.  Very friendly staff, full bar, fantastic food selection.  Chips were fresh, not too thin, not too thick.........perfect size.   Salsa was great.  Chunky (my favorite).   Little heat to the salsa, they also offer a mild for the gringos (me).   I ordered a chimichanga shredded, cheese (I looked pretty good and couldn't find a trace), beef(loaded, maybe that's why they forgot the cheese), with rice and beans, sour cream,  pico de gallo.  Wife ordered a vegetable stir-fry.   They need to lighten up on the oil a little.
I gave them 4 stars rather than 5 because the place needs some updating on the inside.   My booth seat needed to be replaced, the springs were shot.   The place is clean, just needs some updating.  Also, my bill was $24.57.   I gave the girl $40.   My change should have been $15.47     I only got $15 back, they just kept the change.   I just found that odd.   I still left a tip.   Will I return?   Hell YES!

This experience was pretty awful. I found a hard ball in my tamale meat and have no idea what it is. The pina colada I ordered didn't taste good at all and very watered down. I ordered my daughter a chocolate milk and it's really just plain milk. Barely any chocolate in it. They gave her rice and beans instead of fries like we ordered. I had to get them to change it. All in all a terrible experience and we won't be coming back. Sad because I really wanted some good Mexican food. I forgot to mention they offer free chips and salsa on their menu and we didn't receive any of that. Thanks for nothing! Also the bill was expensive and we ended up not eating most of it. 50 dollars for garbage.

I used to really like this place.  I've been there twice in the past month and it has slipped downhill, so much so, I won't return.  I went on taco Tuesday and had 2 tacos.  They were tasteless, cold, and just gross.  Waitress never checked until I was done with my meal.  She was on her phone.  I was sick that night and the next day.  Just awful but the make great margaritas.

Been going to this restaurant for a couple of years. We usually have good service and a good meal. Today the service was slow and the food was not as good as before.  I ordered shrimp enchiladas and the shrimp was cut up into small pieces, burnt, tough, and no shrimp taste at all.  The meal was disappointing as we had gotten the same meal previously and it was good. Another thing... one of the other enchilada meals was supposed to have a bit of sour cream like the others. It didn't so we asked for some. When the bill came, it was charged to us at $1.25.  3 stars for now and that's generous only considering we had decent meals in the past.  I suppose I have to agree with another reviewer, it's hit and miss.  We'll probably stop again but it will be awhile.

I guess if all you are concerned about is a full plate without flavor, I'd say you hit the Jackpot.
Tasteless food &  watered down salsa
Great service and friendly wait staff! Food came out quickly, probably  should have taken a few extra minutes to heat up and add flavor.
Older atmosphere,  needs some cleaning,  & replace stall Door in the bathroom that doesn't lock.  Not cool!
